Only a select few players have the honor of saying they have won more Grand Slam tennis titles than Roger Federer, and Australian Todd Woodbridge OAM, is one of them.
Woodbridge’s spectacular tennis career which includes an Olympic Gold Medal, 16 Grand Slam Men’s Doubles titles, 6 Grand Slam Mixed Doubles titles, 2 singles titles and 83 career titles, all began in the Sutherland Shire growing up right alongside Cronulla Golf Club.
During his illustrious career Woodbridge based himself in Orlando, Florida, residing within the same community as many of golf’s superstars, including Tiger Woods, with whom Woodbridge struck up a great friendship.
A keen golfer himself and currently playing to a handicap of 3, Woodbridge’s daughter Zara, has also displayed a lot of promise at the age of 18 by reaching a scratch handicap and representing Victoria as a member of their State Junior Women’s team.
When he’s not on the golf course, Woodbridge works closely with Tennis Australia to ensure the future of Australian tennis remains healthy. You will also see him throughout the Australian summer of tennis hosting the television coverage of each event and has also dabbled in golf commentary during various tournaments on the PGA Tour of Australasia.
